Grandparents Day

Notes from 2007 Grandparent Day (from Gail M):

• The lunch food was great! (Jeannette G organized it as a potluck, with email signups during the week before the lunch.)
• The snack outdoors was also good. (Ditto)
• Music to begin the morning meeting was excellent and showed kids well.
• The coffee needs to perked and ready to go when the grandparents arrive. Coffee was not ready until 8:50.
• Faculty were disappointed to learn that they were not initially invited to lunch. It was NICE to have faculty talking with grandparents. This year, the lunch was in the meeting room with only grandparents and a few adults. Why not have a BIG Special lunch that includes all students, faculty and grandparents? That inclusiveness may be more appropriate for Gailer especially since the student body is currently so small.
